Jayvan Boggs' name has been brought up regularly throughout training camp. The true freshman has gained the respect of his fellow wide receivers, players on the defense and the coaching staff.
So it's no surprise that Boggs is now making waves nationally. On3/Rivals released their true freshmen preseason All-American team and Boggs was the lone FSU player that made the list.

On3/Rivals' Charles Power mentions Boggs' amazing production at Cocoa High and says his quick ascension up the depth chart shouldn't be a big surprise.
""A shifty route-runner with strong hands and the ability to generate yardage after the catch, we’d be surprised if Boggs isn’t very productive at Florida State.""On3's Charles Power on Jayvan Boggs
Boggs looks like a talent beyond his years
There are a lot of things to like about Boggs on the field - he's a natural playmaker and someone that will get touches in the offense and special teams. Even if the passing game is struggling at times, it's likely that offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn will figure out ways to get the ball in his hands.
My favorite thing about Boggs is the work ethic he brings and the maturity that he carries himself with. He doesn't sound like a freshman, and several of his teammates already say Boggs has a pro mindset.
"It comes from my pops. From a young age, he stayed on me about the little things...when it comes to school, grades, on the field, off the field....he just stayed on me heavy," Boggs said during his meeting with the press last week. "So, that's really taken me to the next level where they can say I'm a pro and I have a pro mindset. "
Feels like someone missing though...
So Boggs made the list, and it's well deserved. But I can't help but notice Ousmane Kromah is missing. I can't think of a true freshman that's entering the season with higher expectations than Kromah. Instead, they decided to go with Clemson's Gideon Davidson.
Kromah was rated as a slightly higher prospect of the two. And the Leesburg, Georgia product has many of us already talking about him becoming the third FSU freshman to rush for 1,000 yards in a season and challenging the freshman rushing record of 1,024 set by Cam Akers.
I guess we'll just have to add that to the many ways FSU is being disrespected. If things go well, both Kromah and Davidson will be taking carries when the Seminoles travel to Clemson on November 8. Maybe then we'll see who the better freshman back is.
