Florida State football has concluded its spring practices, and we are now heading into the summer. Head coach Mike Norvell has plenty of doubters to prove wrong, after the Seminoles have had four losing seasons in his six years at the helm.

However, Coach Norvell can make it back to his 2022 and 2023 form, but it will take hard work and dedication. The fan base's interest is at an all-time low this offseason after having a combined seven wins in the past two years. To be honest, I never thought that would be accomplished by a program such as Florida State.

However, that is the reality that we are in. Florida State has plenty of talented playmakers, and I even mentioned three players who emerged this spring in a recent piece, but I can't sugarcoat everything. Here are three players who need to bounce back this summer.

QB Kevin Sperry

This selection is an obvious one after the Seminoles named veteran Ashton Daniels the starter for the 2026 season. The quarterback competition was thought to last through fall camp with redshirt freshman Kevin Sperry and JUCO option Malachi Marshall, but the coaching staff thought Daniels was a win-now move. Unfortunately, that could put Kevin Sperry behind the 8-ball if he loses his confidence.

RB Tre Wisner

Florida State added former Texas running back transfer Tre Wisner this offseason. Many fans were wondering how Wisner would factor into the rotation. Individuals saw the Seminoles play "musical chairs" at running back this year, so they wanted to see playmakers Ousmane Kromah and Sam Singleton Jr. emerge as the starters. Wisner had a combined 1,600 yards in the past two years, but he has been silent through spring camp, and it looks like Kromah is as advertised.

DT Kevin Wynn

Florida State had the NIL battle with defensive linemen Mandrell and Darryll Desir this offseason, and it was well documented. However, some individuals forget that they had brought back talented defensive tackle Kevin Wynn after he announced his intentions to enter the portal. Veteran Daniel Lyons has been a bright spot at the position, but Kevin Wynn's name has not been mentioned at all, and it makes people wonder if he just isn't ready to contribute as a redshirt freshman.
