Strong Close On National Signing Day

FSU has about seven spots left in its 2021 recruiting class, and two or three of those spots could go to high school players that remained unsigned.

The Noles are in the mix for at least 2-3 high caliber players, and it would be a home run if they could land at least two of them:

  • Destyn Hill: No. 113 player overall, No. 19 wide receiver
  • Tywone Malone: No. 61 player overall, No. 5 defensive tackle

There are a couple of other players in play, but these would be the two highest-ranked prep players the Noles have the potential to sign on National Signing Day.

If Hill were to join the class right now, the Noles would climb to the No. 19 spot overall. If Malone were to join him, they’d climb to the No. 18 spot.

Both players meet positions of need, but Hill would be the more important of the two players as wide receiver needs more playmakers.

The Noles have been the favorite for Hill for some time and still feel confident they land him. Malone is a FSU/Ole Mississippi battle and all of the predictions have been in favor of Ole Miss up to his point.

However, I wouldn’t count the Noles out yet as he looks to play both football and baseball in college.
