FSU football: Top 10 impact players for Noles in 2019
By Kelvin Hunt
Stanford Samuels makes the move back to the boundary cornerback position after they tried him at safety in the early part of last year.
He actually moved back to cornerback before the season ended and finished with 58 tackles, one tackle for loss, four pass break ups and a team leading four interceptions.
Samuels III was named the No. 5 cornerback in the nation according to College Football News.
That makes FSU football the only school with two cornerbacks listed in their top 30. Who’s “DBU” again?
Samuels has good size and length to battle the larger receivers the Noles will go up against. He’s not on overly huge player, but he’s not afraid to be physical coming downhill against the run either.
Samuels III and Samuel Jr. at cornerback should be an upgrade over what the Noles had at those positions last season.
