Final Thoughts

I’m not writing this proclaiming FSU football will win the ACC Conference this season. I’m not saying they’ll win the state championship of Florida.

The fact of the matter is there’s a lot of firepower left in the FSU football program.

There’s a segment of the FSU fan base and media who do not believe Willie Taggart can lead FSU back to prominence.

They think he’s in over his head even though he’s already resurrected more than one program from the dead. The crazy thing is FSU isn’t anywhere close to dead although it has appeared that way the past two seasons.

FSU is still a very powerful engine. It just needs to have a couple of tweaks here and there to perform at optimal levels again.

I believe some of those tweaks are adding Kendal Briles, Randy Clements and Ron Dugans to the staff. Other tweaks were some toxic players departing from the program with newer players stepping into leadership roles.

I think FSU is still a year or two away from being able to challenge for the spot it claimed just a few year ago. However, I wouldn’t be surprised if FSU opens a lot of folks eyes this season.
