FSU Football: 3 reasons Noles could be a sleeping giant in 2019
By Kelvin Hunt
Talent
Despite going 12-13 the past two season the Noles should field the most talented team each time they play in 2019 aside from the Clemson game.
It’s not particularly close either. Recruiting rankings aren’t everything, but here’s a glimpse of what will be on the field for the Noles:
- Four 5-stars
- Twenty-two 4-stars
- A few 3-stars that play like four-stars (Tamorrion Terry, Cory Durden, Keyshawn Helton)
- An experienced QB
That’s just blue chip players who have playing experience and a couple of true freshmen who early enrolled and expected to contribute. That’s not counting every blue chip rated player on the roster.
The question is can the staff get the player to function efficiently as a unit in all three phases? If so, there’s no reason the Noles can’t surprise folk because of how low expectations are due to the product they produced on the field last year.
