The Ultimate FSU Fan, Food And Fun Guide To Experiencing Tallahassee
By Jason Parker
FSU Football Game Day
The time has finally come and the moment fans travel to Tallahassee for has arrived. The Seminoles are just hours away from taking the field and you are there to see the best team in college football take the field. There are still plenty of things to do before you head into Doak Campbell Stadium.
First, go take a picture in front of the Westcott Fountain on the east side of campus. It’s a tradition for students to get thrown in that fountain at least once during their time at FSU and is the site where fans and alumni gather to remind themselves why they support the ‘Noles. After that, take a stroll through campus down Landis Green and through the Student Union. Even if you didn’t take a class at the school, you are still a ‘Nole at heart and can appreciate the beauty of the school you root for on the field.
Next, head over the Garnet and Gold to get your latest gear for the game and beyond. In some parts of the state, FSU football gear and other Seminole items can be a little scarce, so attending a game is the perfect time to get stocked up. Next, head over to Dick Howser Stadium (home of the FSU baseball team) and watch the Marching Chiefs prepare for their halftime show and get the crowd pumped for all the FSU football action.

On your way out, stop by the Sod Cemetery and pay homage to some of the great moments in FSU football history on the road. Some greats in program history come out before each game and chat with the fans about their memories playing for the Seminoles and winning those monumental games that put FSU on the map and won them titles.
Before or after the game, make sure to get your picture taken in front of the Unconquered statue located on Landford Green on the south side of the stadium. The torch is lit starting the night before the game, so fans can come out and get a shot at what has become one of the most scenic locations in college football.
Finally, after you’ve had all your pregame food and drink and safely cleaned up your tailgate area, make sure to head into Doak Campbell Stadium early and let the opposing team know they are in for a long day of fans chopping it up and supporting the Seminoles.
