FSU football: Positional transfer needs this offseason for the Noles
RUNNING BACK
The running back position has always been a talented position for the Seminoles since coach David Johnson has guided the unit.
However, he will face his toughest challenge yet during his time in Tallahassee as redshirt junior Trey Benson has declared for the 2024 NFL Draft, redshirt sophomore CJ Campbell Jr. transferred to Florida Atlantic, and redshirt freshman Rodney Hill transferred to Florida A&M.
Florida State will be heading into the following season with Lawrance Toafili, Caziah Holmes, Kameron Davis, Samuel Singleton Jr., and Micahi Danzy.
Toafili is the leading returning rusher with 69 rushing attempts for 463 yards and four touchdowns. The running back position is a very important one in the Seminoles' offense as the coaching staff likes to establish the run to set up their play-action passing game.
Finding the right fit could be in play this offseason. However, it would not be terrible to see a three-headed monster of Toafili, Holmes, and Davis at running back.
