WIDE RECEIVERS

This is a position of unknown after ultra-talented pass catchers such as Johnny Wilson and Keon Coleman have decided to declare for the 2024 NFL Draft. Wide receivers coach Ron Dugans will have the opportunity to showcase his unit to see what they can do.

Dugans already put on his recruiting hat for the program as they acquired four prospects in the 2024 recruiting cycle with Camdon Frier, BJ Gibson, Lawayne McCoy, and Elijah Moore. Not to mention that Malik Benson (Alabama) and Jalen Brown (LSU) were picked up via the transfer portal.

While players such as Malik Benson and Hykeem Williams have been mentioned by head football coach Mike Norvell, it is reasonable to suggest that none of them have been classified as the number one option.

The talent is oozing throughout the position unit. I am excited to see how other contributors such as Destyn Hill, Kentron Poitier, JaKhi Douglas, Vandrevius Jacobs, and even Darion Williamson (if he can stay healthy) can make a sizable difference in 2024. I could see the wide receiver unit have several contributors this upcoming season.
