Florida State basketball coach Luke Loucks had to resort to buying drinks for the first 500 fans who attended a recent game to entice fans to show up to watch his team. Little did he know that all they needed to do was start winning.
FSU basketball has won six of its last seven contests and three in a row, including two upset road wins over Virginia Tech and Clemson.
The Noles will be back at home to face the rival Miami Hurricanes, an NCAA Tournament team the Noles have already upset earlier in the season. FSU will have a major 2026 recruit in town for his official visit, and it looks like the FSU student section plans to show up and show out in support of the red-hot basketball team:

The Tucker Center has had up to 11,500 in attendance when the Noles were among the top teams in the ACC and nation in 2019-20. Those days have long gone with several seasons of mediocrity. However, the last few games have sparked some optimism among FSU students about what the future could look like under the Luke Loucks era.
The largest crowd this season was nearly 7,400 for the game against No. 15 Virginia, after FSU had won three consecutive games. The Miami game is at 9 p.m. tip-off on a Tuesday night, which isn’t ideal to expect the place to be packed. However, the student section selling out sends a strong message about what Luke Loucks is building in Tallahassee. A win over Miami would further cement that belief.
FSU has two games against teams near the bottom of the ACC after Miami, and will wrap up with a final home game against SMU. If FSU can win the next three games, I'd expect that home finale to be a great crowd as well.
