Despite the back-to-back losses, the Florida State Seminoles have had quite the turnaround from their 2-10 season last year.
With three wins already in their pockets, the Seminoles have seemingly righted the ship, and that applies to the recruiting trail too. Most recently, Florida State and head coach Mike Norvell were included as one of the frontrunners to land Johnnie Jones.
Jones, a four-star offensive tackle from Venice, FL, committed to the UCLA Bruins in June but decommitted just a few months later, reopening his recruitment.
Now, he has shared that the Seminoles, the Penn State Nittany Lions, the Missouri Tigers, and the Mississippi State Bulldogs are receiving the majority of his attention as he tries to decide which program holds his future.

Jones is the No. 9 offensive tackle in the class of 2026 and the No. 17 overall athlete out of Florida in the class. Despite receiving offers from programs across the state, including the Florida Gators, USF Bulls, and Miami Hurricanes, the prospect is honed in on the Seminoles.
Florida State's home in Tallahassee is a five and a half hour drive from Jones' home in Venice, significantly farther than Miami (three and a half hours) and Gainesville (three hours). In fact, one would have to drive through Gainesville on their way to Tallahassee to see the Noles in action.
Jones has taken six official visits and dozens of unofficial trips, including one to see everything the Seminoles had to offer, as well as OVs with Missouri, Mississippi State, UCLA, the Colorado Buffaloes, and the Ole Miss Rebels.
Despite including Penn State in his top four schools, he has yet to visit the Nittany Lions, officially or unofficially. Last Saturday, Jones was in attendance as Florida State hosted and battled the No. 4 Hurricanes.
As of now, it does not seem that Jones has any future visits scheduled with the Seminoles or any other program.
