Duce Robinson could be a difference maker in the Virginia game for the Seminoles

The big-bodied pass catcher could be someone Thomas Castellanos relies on.

FSU FOOTBALL

Florida State has had an enjoyable time playing football, as they have victories over Alabama, East Texas A&M, and Kent State. The Seminoles are defined as "back" by even the non-SEC hater Paul Finebaum. If that happens, Florida State is doing something right.

The offense has been on fire with the play from quarterback Thomas Castellanos and the guidance from offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn. Castellanos stood on business and meant every word of it.

Florida State is averaging 58 points per game. Even though that might change significantly, the Seminoles showed that it can be explosive, especially when the running game is working.

DUCE ROBINSON

Florida State will play Virginia this Friday at 7 PM EST on ESPN. This is a dangerous spot for the Seminoles to be in as they take on the arch-rival Miami Hurricanes at home the following week. It could serve as a look-ahead spot if they aren't careful.

As a result, Florida State will need all the help that it can get against the Cavaliers. Quarterback Thomas Castellanos has been generous in allowing multiple playmakers to make a difference in the game.

Former USC wide receiver transfer Duce Robinson was thought to be the number one option in the offense in 2025 for the Seminoles. Even though Robinson is the leading pass catcher with eight receptions for 199 yards and two touchdowns, he had five catches for 173 yards and two touchdowns against East Texas A&M.

He was a non-factor in the games between Alabama and Kent State, but that could change on Saturday against Virginia. The Seminoles will need to convert on third downs to keep the chains moving. Thomas Castellanos could rely on the 6'6" Duce Robinson to help him accomplish that feat.

This would be great to see the legacy player get back on track as ACC play starts.
