FSU football is preparing to take on their arch-rival Florida Gators on Saturday night without the services of their redshirt senior quarterback Jordan Travis.

Unfortunately, the veteran signal caller suffered a lower-body injury that will force him to miss the remainder of the season. This football team was devastated at the sight of losing their proven leader.

However, it is now time for redshirt junior Tate Rodemaker to step up in his absence. The Seminoles have contests against Florida this Saturday and then Louisville in the ACC Championship the following week.

Florida State has to continue to keep their eyes on the prize as they have dropped from No. 4 to No. 5 in the updated College Football Playoff rankings. Head football coach Mike Norvell and company have attempt to deliver this message: “Control what you can control.” All in all, the Seminoles need to go out and handle their business.

As it relates to quarterback Jordan Travis, FSU fans have absolutely adores what he has done for this football program. He has endured so much adversity during his time at Tallahassee from being the third-string quarterback, backing up McKenzie Milton, and even having fans question if he could even throw a football 15 yards downfield.

He ultimately decided to remain in positive spirits through it all. Even after the injury, where he was laying in his hospital bed, Travis cheered on true freshman quarterback Brock Glenn for scoring his first collegiate touchdown versus North Alabama.

Some players would have been more focused on the injury, which is completely understandable, but Travis chose to be there for his teammates through difficult circumstances. It has been well-documented that the West Palm Beach (FL) native is well-liked and respected by many individuals associated with the program.

On Wednesday morning, when the Seminoles took the practice field for practice, quarterback Jordan Travis arrived in the back of a golf cart to be with his teammates.

The quarterback has emphasized the importance of the phrase “All We Got, All We Need!” as the Seminoles continue their journey of remaining undefeated on the season.
