FSU football quarterback Jordan Travis had to leave the game against North Alabama with a lower leg injury. The FSU offense had to punt on their first two possessions, and the Noles were down 13-0 when Jordan Travis ran the ball on the first play of their third possession.

Travis picked up the first down and was fighting for more yards before getting tackled and suffering an apparent injury to either his ankle or knee. It didn’t look good, as they had to stablize his leg on the field and take him off on the cart.

The crowd went silent as Travis couldn’t get up and was holding his leg up off the ground. I could tell from the angle on TV that it was an injury that will likely end his time in Tallahassee. It’s unfortunate for a guy that was celebrating senior night.

The fact the offense had to punt on each of their first two possessions, and he had to run to get the offense going against such an inferior opponent made me sick.

The FSU defense forced a punt on North Alabama’s first possession, but the Lions faked the punt and gained 65 yards on the run. They scored on a back-shoulder pass when it was third and goal. North Alabama used a lot of trickery on their second possession to go 80-yards and score their second touchdown.

However, the PAT was blocked by Jared Verse to make the deficit 13-0. Tate Rodemaker came in for the injured Travis and marched FSU to the one-yard line. The Noles had to settle for a field goal after a Trey Benson run went for no gain, and a broken play went for a loss.

A third and goal pass to Ja’Khi Douglas was broken up by a North Alabama defender. I send my prayers up for Jordan Travis.
