FSU football is prepared to take on its arch-rival Miami Hurricanes in Doak Campbell Stadium on Saturday afternoon (could have been a night-time game if were not for the Hurricanes losing yet again…), which will be televised on ABC.

While it has been well-documented by the college football media that Florida State has not played its best football, they are still undefeated with a spot in the ACC Football Championship clinched. Head football coach Mike Norvell and company have had this football team ready to go.

In a recent media session, Norvell stated that he did not have to tell this team anything to get them motivated to play this game. They understand what’s at stake in this rivalry. These are two proud fanbases that quite honestly do not like each other.

However, only one team will have the opportunity to achieve victory on Saturday afternoon.

Florida State’s offense is led by redshirt senior quarterback Jordan Travis, who is coming off a passing performance that featured 360 passing yards without his two best wide receivers Keon Coleman and Johnny Wilson. The Seminoles survived and advanced as they defeated the Pittsburgh Panthers by a score of 24-7.

On the other hand, the Miami Hurricanes weren’t as lucky as they were defeated by North Carolina State by a score of 20-6. Quarterback Tyler Van Dyke has dealt with a multitude of injuries and inconsistencies lately where he has thrown only five touchdowns with ten interceptions in his last four games. The Hurricanes want to get their revenge for their 45-3 home defeat to the Seminoles last season.

CHOPCHAT STAFF SCORE PREDICTIONS

-Taylor Devers: 38-24 FSU

-Kelvin Hunt: 37-17 FSU

-Jason Zang: 33-10 FSU

-Nick Andre: 42-17 FSU

Well, well, well… It looks like we have yet another week where every staff member is predicting a Seminoles victory. While we certainly do not want to jinx Florida State and their winning ways right now, it is difficult to pick against the Seminoles when they are playing this well. Especially when the arch-rival Miami Hurricanes are struggling to find its footing at times.

Miami could generate some pressure early on by getting the Seminoles behind the chains since they are No. 9 in the FBS in tackles for loss per game (7.6). But this Florida State offense should eventually be able to find success if they maintain their composure.

I believe that FSU fans have a high chance of leaving Doak Campbell Stadium on Saturday afternoon/night with their tenth victory of the season.
