FSU football QB Jordan Travis didn’t have the easiest road to becoming a starting quarterback in college football. He was a three-star recruit out of high school and committed to the University of Louisville as a senior.

After arriving at Louisville the first year, he played in three games, redshirted, and then decided to transfer out. He chose Florida State, as he had family ties with his older brother Devon having played baseball at Florida State from 2010-2012.

In 2019, Travis came to FSU in a tough year for the Seminoles, the Willie Taggart era was a mess, and James Blackman was the starting quarterback with Alex Hornibrook, who transferred in from Wisconsin.

Jordan saw most of his game time running the ball but didn’t get to play at all until after Willie Taggart got fired after the Miami game. His first appearance against Boston College was a foreshadowing for how dangerous he was with his legs.
