Many folks wanted to blame Mike Norvell and the coaching staff for their performance in their inaugural 2020 season.

The belief was they had much more talent on the roster than they did in reality, and the NFL Draft has been a truth-teller of sorts.

FSU football had six players drafted in the 2018 NFL Draft alone. That’s telling about the amount of talent on the roster over the last few seasons.

It’s easy to see why Mike Norvell has gone to the transfer portal to infuse the roster with better talent and bodies physically ready to play. It’s a prime reason why FSU was able to be more competitive on the field in 2021.
