FSU football had one sure-fire first-rounder in the 2022 NFL Draft. It was no secret Jermaine Johnson would hear his name called Thursday night.

He had to wait a little longer than most thought, but the No. 26 overall pick saw his life change in an instant.

I think most FSU football fans knew it would be a while after that moment before another FSU player’s name would be called, if at all.

That moment never came, but several former players have already signed undrafted free agent deals.

Jashaun Corbin, Keir Thomas, Devontay Love-Taylor, and Andrew Parchment all have an opportunity to make a name for themselves. The crazy thing we have to remember is all of these players were brought to FSU football from the transfer portal by Mike Norvell.

FSU had four players drafted last year, and all of them either signed or commited to Jimbo Fisher when he was FSU’s head coach. It’s also the second time in three years, that FSU has only had one player drafted from the program. Cam Akers went in the second round in the 2020 NFL Draft.
