FSU football: Is 2021 recruiting class better than Fisher’s 2010 class?

Minimal Contributors
When I think of minimal contributors, I’m talking about players that played mostly on special teams and never developed into a player that contributed much on offense or defense.
- Jeff Luc: 5-star LB transferred after two years
- Christian Green: 5-star ATH/WR
- Chad Abram: 3-star Safety converted to FB
- Debrale Smiley: 3-star RB
- Clint Trickett: 3-star QB transferred after two years
- Greg Dent: 4-star WR Dismissed after junior year
- Anthony McCloud: 3-star DT
I’m giving Luc more credit for the impact his commitment had on recruiting than anything else. He ultimately transferred to Cincinnati after two years of not being productive. Christian Green may be the biggest bust of the class in terms his ranking. Chad Abrams did carve a niche out at fullback after matching the switch to safety but didn’t contribute much in actual production.
Debrale Smiley began to come on in his final year, but he never became a guy Jimbo Fisher would use consistently.
Clint Trickett saw action because of injuries to EJ Manuel, and that’s the only reason that was the case. Greg Dent had one decent year before getting kicked off the team after his junior year. Anthony McCloud probably contributed enough to be considered a decent take in the class, but he wasn’t necessarily a difference-maker, so I’m going to list him here.
If we combine this group with the previous group, that’s 63.6 percent of the class.
