FSU football has over 90 percent of its 2021 recruiting class signed and or enrolled. What new additions can we expect on National Signing Day?

Not many. If you follow recruiting, that’s nothing new to you as the Noles have a couple of spots remaining in the class with two known targets.

Both targets are four-star high school players in defensive tackle Tywone Malone and wide receiver Destyn Hill.

I don’t expect FSU to land both of these players. Malone will likely land at Texas A&M or Ole Miss barring a last-minute decision to sign with FSU. He’s looking to play football and baseball, with baseball seeming to be more of a priority. He’s considered the No. 67 player overall and No. 5 defensive tackle in the nation.

FSU was able to get him on campus a few weeks ago, and things went well, but he also visited other schools, with the FSU visit being the first place he went. Usually, the places a later visit leaves more of an impression, but we’ll see. Malone will make his announcement at 4:00 p.m. ET.

Destyn Hill is a player I expect to sign with FSU, as he’ll make his announcement around 10:30 a.m. The Noles have long been the favorite since offering and getting him on campus twice in a short period.

FSU’s David Johnson targeted the Louisiana native, who has big-time ties to the state. Hill is considered the No. 113 player overall and No. 19 wide receiver in the nation.

I’d love to have both players in the class, but I consider Hill the more important target, with Malone looking to play two sports. It’s nearly impossible to play two college sports at a high-level because both can’t be given equal attention.

I’d take the player that only wants to play football in this case. I know some fans may be thinking that’s it? We aren’t in the mix for more players?

Good football programs get most of their players to sign in the early signing period nowadays, so this is a good thing and a lot less drama involved than back in the day.

FSU could add another player from the transfer portal or something, but that’s the just of the 2021 recruiting class for the most part.
