FSU football coaches are looking to add the best players possible, to get the program back to where it’s supposed to be. The quarterback position is the most important position Mike Norvell needs to fill each year.
They filled the 2021 class with McKenzie Milton from the transfer portal but will be look to add a quality high school quarterback in 2022.
A longstanding relationship with four-star QB Nicco Marchiol continues to pay off, as he listed the Noles among his top four schools Friday night.
He announced the news via his Twitter account:
TOP 4 @Hayesfawcett3. Can’t thank these programs enough for the support throughout my recruiting process. These will be the final 4 schools I will be focusing on. #GodsPlan pic.twitter.com/zpgTRYeY3a

Marchiol hails from Chandler, Arizona, with 26 offers from teams like FSU, Arizona State, Florida, Rutgers, Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Louisville, LSU, Michigan, Michigan State, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Ole Miss, USC, Penn State, TCU, Washington State, and others.
He checks in at 6’2″ and 216 pounds and is considered the No. 220 ranked player nationally, No. 9 pro-style QB, and the No. 2 player in Arizona.
The Noles offered Marchiol in March a couple of days before Florida and months before Rutgers, with Arizona State being the home school.
FSU football holds 100 percent of the 247 Crystal Ball Predictions. Marchiol is active on social media and seemed to be a fan of UF QB Kyle Trask this season. However, he did post this in early December:
I always appreciate FSU and all they do for me! @KennyDillingham IS THEE best in the business🤝🍢 it would be an honor to play under such great coaches #GONOLES pic.twitter.com/p7PYwIL5FY

It would be ideal to have a highly ranked QB committed early in the class to build around. The Noles landed a blue-chip wide receiver last week in Quincey McAdoo and already have a cornerstone commit on defense in five-star Travis Hunter Jr.
FSU football has three quality commits in the 2022 class, and adding a QB like Marchiol would be a statement for Mike Norvell and staff.
