Home Stretch

October 31– BYE WEEK – If the Seminoles are 4-2, 3-3 at worst, I think we will take it in year 0. It will boost recruiting to the highest degree, and the success will only beget greater success infusing the team with more energy.

November 7-Pitt-W- I think the extra week adds the ability to prepare for their strong defense and helps a lot for a new and improved offense. This matchup will be a defensive battle without a doubt. When we factor in everything else, I think we are better coached on offense and have a better team. Another one or two point win. FSU wins 20-18.

November 14-NC State- W- This is always a tough game for the Noles. They have been our crux so often in recent history that it’s odd they aren’t a larger rival for us. I think, with all the fans, this is an L, but they are trending downward. We seem to be re-ascending under Norvell, and our record and confidence will demonstrate that. There will be strong momentum from the Pitt win, and we will avenge the disrespect from Bradley Chubb. FSU wins 28-7.

November 21-Clemson-L- Noles247 phrased the predicament the best. “It’s Clemson.” I think we improve, but we won’t compete with the top team in the nation for at least another two or three years. This game is the result I am most confident in. FSU losses in a landslide, 42-21.

November 28-Virginia- W- This was a close loss away last year, and came down to the last play. We had the lead heading into the fourth quarter. It was another late collapse for Taggart and Co. This year, we have undeniably better coaching and hopefully be in a better situation. We are the better team, I think that showed last year, and we just folded in crunch time. Being 5-4 at this point, 6-3 is a huge confidence boost to the fandom and the team and shows the upward swing everyone seems to project for and pray. We are a good team; we just need a coaching staff to prove it FSU wins 28-17.

December 5-Duke-W- We will have to see how their transfers work out. Chase Brice could do something for them, but I don’t see them fielding a reliable team. They return much of their starting offensive line, which could cancel out our biggest strength, but they only have a single returning WR, and you need someone to catch the ball. They have position battles throughout their secondary, and I don’t see them keeping up with Tamorrion Terry or D.J. Mathews. It is a weakness that the Noles can exploit with one of their strongest position groups. FSU wins 35-14.
