Middle Four Weeks

October 3– BYE WEEK- This comes at a welcomed time as this is a hard stretch. This week helps to block off these games and gives a new staff a couple of games to prepare for at a time as not to overrun them. The only downside is if it slows the ascension of the Norvell Noles.

October 10– Notre Dame-L- No amount of preparation will affect Ian Book and one of the NCAA’s strongest teams. Renewing this rivalry is nice, but there is too much of a gap in talent that cannot be overcome with good coaching, even if it’s the first good coaching we have had in three years. Especially when we are going into South Bend with a bunch of southern boys in October. FSU losses 28-14.

October 17– University North Carolina-L- I’ll buy into their hype. Sam Howell’s ability is undeniable, and I genuinely think that he could have a Heisman level campaign, (I don’t think he will, it’ll be Justin Fields). They were the only team that challenged Clemson last year in the conference. I think it’ll be close though, enough for us fans to claim a moral victory. FSU losses 24-21.

October 24-Louisville-W- This is a must-win. For one, another close rival that we play annually. The other reason is that it keeps a winning record, preventing a slide and renews faith in the new staff. If we beat UNC, then I think we lose this one because the team would get fatigued. I think no matter what, we end up splitting this section between UNC and Louisville. The best-case scenario is off of a UNC win; we have the classic Louisville collapse and a coaching staff that can make Louisville pay for it. FSU wins 35-24.
