NC State

The Noles took care of the Wolfpack last season after getting manhandled the previous two years.

The Wolfpack have always played the Noles tough for whatever reason although their program is usually the lesser talented of the two teams.

Why are they listed? Well, it’s a road game against a ACC Atlantic Division foe and it’s a team FSU football should be defeating each season given the talent disparity.

The Noles travel to the historical house of horrors in Raleigh, North Carolina, the week before the Clemson game.

FSU could be 2-1 or 3-0 going into the NC State game. If they go into the game 3-0 and win, that’s a great deal of confidence moving forward and probably has them ranked going into the Clemson game. If they go into the game at 2-1 and win, that’s putting them at 3-2 after a likely loss coming against Clemson.

That puts the Noles in a good position to get at least eight wins on the season. That seems to be the magic number for most Nole fans.
