FSU football has used social media as a great way to represent its program. Here’s a look at how they have highlighted senior DT Marvin Wilson.

FSU football remains one of the most talented programs in the nation despite a downward trend in recruiting the past three seasons.

A lot of made of Cam Akers being the only FSU player drafted in 2020, but the Noles have four players ranked in the top 75 players eligible for the draft in 2021.

The highest-rated player is senior defensive tackle Marvin Wilson who likely would have been a first-round draft pick this year had he not decided to come back for his senior season.

The FSU football social media team is picking players to highlight on Twitter, and Wilson was the first player selected Monday:

Thoughts

I can’t express the difference between the new muscle behind the FSU social media team and what we’ve seen in the past.

The sheer organization and posting with purpose as an extension of the marketing department have been clear since Mike Norvell became head coach.

A coaches’ ability to organize their program is something that becomes apparent fairly quickly. It was one of the biggest issues with the last regime, and one place it reared its ugly head off the field was on social media.

These organizational differences are what we’re counting on to be the difference on the field in 2020. If social media is uniform and organized, one can only suspect the rest of the program will be the same way.

Not only that, but this is also a great way to exhibit the type of talent in the program. These can be used in recruiting, with parents, and is something positive fans can read during the current shutdown.

Everything is calculated and with a purpose and hopefully, that’s something that will continue to be the norm in Tallahassee.
