Pass Rush

Boise State ran an astounding 108 plays(really 105 discounting their last possession) for 621 yards.

One of the concerning areas going into the game was where was the pass rush going to come from for the Noles.

Well, we found out the Noles can indeed get a pass rush on opposing QB’s. What was even more impressive was it was against a legit and experienced offensive line.

FSU was able to get to the Boise State QB and sack him six times and was credited with another eight QB hurries during the game.

They only had 28 sacks all last season with 10 of them coming from Brian Burns.

It was encouraging to see defensive ends Joshua Kaindoh and Janarius Robinson in the backfield so much.

Leonard Warner and Amari Gainer also touched the QB a few times as he was getting rid of the ball.

The Noles either sacked or pressured the Boise State QB on 27 percent of his dropbacks. That only happened 15 percent of the time in 2018.
