Jaiden Lars-Woodbey

I know you’re looking at this like Jaiden Lars-Woodbey is ahead of Jalen Ramsey? Well, here’s my reasoning.

Lars-Woodbey was recruited to the Noles as a safety but moved to linebacker because of lack of depth at the position.

He went on to be named ESPN Freshmen All-American after playing the entire year with a shoulder he injured in the opener against Virginia Tech.

Lars-Woodbey finished the season with 58 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, a sack, eight passes broken up, 4.5 QB hurries and one forced fumble.

That’s not too shabby for a guy playing a brand new position. Ramsey did switch from cornerback to safety as a true freshman but also played in two more games on the season.

The good news for ‘Noles fans is they have at least two more seasons with Lars-Woodbey in the defensive back seven.
