No. 10 Okla. State over No. 7 Northwestern

No. 3 LSU over No. 14 Nebraska

No. 6 Mississippi State over No. 11 TCU

Second Round

No. 1 Ohio State over No. 9 Duke

No. 4 Texas over No. 5 Utah – I’m not going to lie because this one was difficult for me…I know the Longhorns went out and beat both Oklahoma and Georgia this season, but I’m not sold they were one of the top 10 teams by the end of the year.

No. 2 Wash State over No. 10 Okla. State

No. 3 LSU over No. 6 Mississippi State

Region Semis (Alamo Bowl in San Antonio)

No. 1 Ohio State over No. 4 Texas

No. 3 LSU over No. 2 Washington State – The Cougars learn the hard way that defense will always win out over offense…just ask UCF as they couldn’t even beat the Tigers and what seemed to be their ninth string defense in the Fiesta Bowl.

Region Final (Cotton Bowl in Arlington, TX)

No. 1 Ohio State over No. 3 LSU – With that being said, the Buckeyes have that weird mix of offense and defense and an argument could have been made they should have been in the real playoff instead of Oklahoma this year.
