Offensive Line/Running Game

The Noles actually had a running game against Notre Dame and we know that’s been a struggle ALL season.

Cam Akers and Jacques Patrick combined for 116 yards and two rushing touchdowns while averaging 4.14 yards per carry.

That’s a far cry from the sub 2.5 yards per carry the Noles were averaging prior to the game. A lot of fans want to continue to blame the offensive line for the offensive woes, but it’s a lot more to it than just the offensive line.

I’m not sure fans realize it but Notre Dame only had one sack in the game and Deondre Francois had 47 pass attempts.

Notre Dame only had five tackles for loss in the game but did have 10 QB hurries. I thought Deondre Francois had ample time to throw the ball for the most part and I thought both Akers and Patrick ran the ball extremely hard which was good to see.
