Stanford Samuels III

Stanford Samuels III was one of the three players I said needed to make an impact in this game and that’s what he did.

He was part of a secondary that helped shutdown Wake Forest standout receiver Greg Dortch and also had a huge interception off a tipped pass that led to a FSU football touchdown.

The interception came at a critical time as the Noles had just fumbled a potential touchdown into the end zone for a touchback.

Samuels III led the team with eight total tackles (six solo) and was the lone Nole to rock the turnover backpack Saturday for his second interception of the season which matches his total from 2017.

The bye week seemed to allow him to finally get over his injury suffered a couple of weeks prior to the season. FSU football will need a big game from him Saturday against Clemson and their talented group of wide receivers.
