November 11th – at Clemson

There is a legit argument that could be made that, over the course of the last four seasons, the most important rivalry game on the schedule has been the annual battle for the Noles against the Tigers. Clemson has gotten the best of the Seminoles the last two season on their way to playing for a national title each season, bringing the crown back to the ACC last year.

Now, FSU football is going to be breathing a sigh of relief since Clemson lost a decent amount of last year’s team that came in and came back against the Noles last season – namely quarterback Deshaun Watson. Don’t get me wrong, there is still plenty of talent on the roster…but you can’t say that the players who are currently there are anywhere near names like Watson, Boulware, Gallman, Williams and more.

The other advantage is that Florida State quarterback Deondre Francois has a game experience under his belt in this series – and he actually didn’t do all that well last season. By this point in the year, D12 could arguably be the best quarterback this season if everything goes according to plans and this could be the game that wins FSU the conference for the first time since 2014.

Prediction: If this game was being played right now, it would be one of the best three games in the country as both teams are starting ranked in the top five nationally. No one knows what the season has in store, but a betting man knows it will be the game where the Seminoles finally take the ACC back and keep their road toward the CFB playoff going.
