TE RANDY PITTMAN JR.
Do you remember when I mentioned previously that I don't shy away from my bold predictions? Well, last year I had a rough one where I thought senior tight end Kyle Morlock would be the second leading receiver for the Seminoles in 2024. Morlock was less than ideal, and in hindsight, I should have recognized that it was a recipe for disaster, but here we are.
The tight end position as a whole wasn't a dumpster fire, though. True freshmen Landen Thomas and Amaree Williams were bright spots in an offense that couldn't get anything going.
With that said, head football coach Mike Norvell decided to hire Gus Malzahn to be the offensive coordinator. One of the first transfer pickups after Malzahn was acquired was UCF junior tight end Randy Pittman Jr.
Through all accounts, Pittman Jr. has been a veteran presence that the tight end room needed. He knows the Malzahn offense through and through. He had 32 receptions for 416 yards and two touchdowns for the Knights in 2024. This is the time when the tight end gets raved about by the coaching staff.
