These prospects could be Day 1 starters for the Seminoles from the 2026 class

Florida State football ended its 2025 season with losing to the arch-rival Florida Gators on Saturday in blowout fashion. The Seminoles' road woes reared its ugly head again, as head football coach Mike Norvell are left searching for answers.

With that said, Norvell alluded in the post-game media session that changes will be evaluated soon. This is obvious, since the program has suffered four losing seasons in six years under Norvell.

Player acquisition will be a big question mark in the next phase of this chapter to finally obtain sustainable success. The transfer portal has been a method that has worked at times for this coaching staff, but the fan base wants to see the coaching staff be able to continue above-average high school recruiting classes together.

With that said, Florida State ranks as the 15th-best recruiting class in the 2026 cycle, according to 247Sports Composite. CBS Sports decided to break down the Seminoles' class with the Early Signing Period coming up on Wednesday, and they highlighted three prospects who could make a difference for the program in Year 1.
