Florida State head coach Mike Norvell coached FSU to its second consecutive losing season. It’s the second time he’s lost to an interim Florida Gator coach with bowl eligibility on the line.
Florida State lost 40-21 to the Florida Gators on Saturday night after trailing 17-14 at halftime. The FSU defense forced a punt on Florida’s first offensive possession in the third quarter and turned it over on downs after failing to gain one yard on fourth and one for the second time.
That game was essentially over at that point. Florida wasted no time scoring a touchdown, and it was off to the races. FSU allowed Florida to run the ball down their throats all game. Florida running back Jadan Baugh had 266 rushing yards on 38 carries and two touchdowns.
I would respect you more if you just quit

It was the first time the Florida Gators had scored over 30 points against a Power Four team all season. The FSU offense couldn’t establish the run against a team that has allowed multiple teams to rush for over 200 yards.

The team played soft in a rivalry game with a chance to make a bowl. If there wasn’t any more reason to fire Mike Norvell, add this to the list, but the FSU administration announced they were bringing him back for whatever reason last week.
Mike Norvell can’t save this program, and FSU fans would have more respect for him if he quit than if he showed up pounding his chest, talking about how he felt his players' presence at practice.
It’s ridiculous that he will be allowed to come back after the last two seasons.
