UNRANKED OL LUKE FRANCIS
Florida State football has not had much success with offensive linemen this recruiting cycle either, as they have only secured three-star offensive tackle Xavier Payne and three-star interior offensive lineman Michael Ionata.
I expected offensive line coach Herb Hand to have much more success on the trail, given his coaching track record at schools such as Auburn, Texas, Penn State, UCF, and Vanderbilt. However, it has translated that way as of yet.
With that being said, the Seminoles are working on an underrated prospect in the trenches with Class of 2026 Luke Francis. He is listed at 6'5" and 335 pounds. Francis is originally from England, but is playing this year at Coral Gables Senior High School in Florida.
His recruitment has started to see a jump, where schools like Florida State, Georgia State, and Syracuse have offered him. The Seminoles offered him on Wednesday after attending a Big Man Camp, and he performed very well. The coaching staff then extended him an opportunity to come on an official visit this weekend.
Even though he is listed as a defensive lineman on recruiting databases, the Seminoles offered Francis as an offensive lineman. This could be a quick recruitment from start to finish if the coaching staff likes what they see from him. I wouldn't be surprised to see the coaching staff give him the green light to commit soon.
