OT JOSH PETTY (GT COMMIT)

I already mentioned five-star offensive tackle Josh Petty in a previous article. Petty is from Roswell, Georgia, and has been committed to the Yellow Jackets since early August.

However, according to a report from On3's Steve Wiltfong and Chad Simmons, Petty did not sign with Georgia Tech as of Wednesday. While I am unsure as to whether or not this means that his commitment status is wavering with Georgia Tech, it does give some individuals hope.

Florida State was in the thick of his recruitment this past summer, where the Seminoles were even the crystal ball leader he named Florida State a top school. However, things did not go the way that people thought, and he ended up pledging to Georgia Tech.

The Seminoles then played Georgia Tech in Dublin, Ireland, and lost in the season opener, so many of the fans thought that the recruitment was over. I think this delay in signing is interesting and should be monitored closely to see if they can manage a late flip.
