FIVE-STAR OT JOSH PETTY

Florida State offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Alex Atkins has already done well with relating to recruits/transfers. However, opposing schools have negatively recruited the Seminoles' given their recruiting efforts in the offensive line.

Atkins has sided with using transfers in his rotations instead of homegrown recruits (besides offensive tackle Robert Scott Jr.). While I am not suggesting that those recruits were ready to contribute, it was a wonder as to why they did not get meaningful reps which led to some of those players transferring out of the program.

The 2025 recruiting cycle is an opportunity for Atkins to get busy on the recruiting trail. He has already got four-star interior offensive linemen Solomon Thomas and Peyton Joseph. They will need a tackle to put in this class with Darius Washington, Robert Scott Jr., and Jeremiah Byers all seniors after this year.

One prospect to monitor is five-star offensive tackle Josh Petty from Fellowship Christian School in Roswell, Georgia. He will be deciding on his birthday (August 12th). It seems like the Seminoles have the advantage of him visiting multiple times to campus and his sister going to school in Tallahassee but the program has to continue to fight for his services.
