FSU football (0-1, 0-1 ACC) will host the Boston College Eagles (0-0, 0-0 ACC) Monday night in Doak Campbell Stadium. It will be the season opener for Boston College, with FSU looking to get back into the winner's column after losing its season opener in an upset against Georgia Tech. The game will air on ESPN in prime time, and the broadcast crew will be a familiar group. The play-by-play will be Bob Wischusen, the analyst Louis Riddick, and the sideline reporter Kris Budden. Wischusen and Budden called the Syracuse game last year. Riddick was a part of the team that called the Pittsburgh game. I should note, that Wischusen is a Boston College graduate. Budden graduated from Missouri and Riddick is a Pittsburgh graduate.

I'm sure much of the conversation will be talking about if FSU can bounce back from its week one setback. They'll likely refer to how close last year's game was at the end and how Boston College quarterback Thomas Castellanos put up a ton of yards and highlights against a talented FSU defense last season.

The Noles are a -16.5 betting favorite and the over/under points total is around 50. Those odds imply a 33-17 FSU victory. Interestingly enough, FSU led 31-10 to start the fourth quarter last season before Boston College stormed back behind a fumble recovery for a touchdown and an onside kick recovery. I should also note over half of the FSU team played with the flu in last year's game. It'll be interesting to see what adjustments the Noles make. Which players get more or fewer reps? The game will air at 7:30 p.m. Make sure you check Chopchat this weekend for all your game analysis and things to look for.
