It seems like we've been here before with FSU football quarterback recruiting. The coaching staff took a QB commitment from an unheralded three-star early in the process to see his profile increase and star ranking improve while making Elite 11 Finals two cycles ago with Chris Parson. He ultimately didn't sign with the Noles after flirting with other schools while committed to FSU. However, the coaching staff had contingency plans with someone most felt had a higher upside in Brock Glenn, who eventually signed with the Noles after flipping his commitment from Ohio State.

Enter a similar situation with 2025 FSU commit Tramell Jones. Jones was similar to Parson, committing to FSU without much school interest from others but gaining more attention as he worked on his craft and made the Elite 11 Finals. Like Parson, he says all the right things but has visited the rival Florida Gators a few times, which makes folk raise their eyebrows. Parson took his official visit to FSU and de-committed about three weeks later. Jones officially visited FSU this weekend and wouldn't publicly state he is shutting his recruitment down. Could we see a repeat of the Chris Parson situation?
