QB DJ UIAGALELEI

Florida State was able to host both of their transfer quarterback targets on campus this weekend: Cam Ward and DJ Uiagalelei.

The Seminoles have made it clear that they want an experienced bridge quarterback so that they can be able to groom and develop younger signal callers such as Brock Glenn and Luke Kromenhoek (if he signs with Florida State). The College Football Committee has made it abundantly clear that the Seminoles stood no chance in the playoff with their quarterback play of Rodemaker and Glenn (we still need answers...).

While I certainly believe in Rodemaker's ability to be successful in the offensive system, it is still wise for the coaching staff to acquire another option at the quarterback position with only three scholarship options on the roster.

I realize that the fan base is super high on the dual-threat ability of Washington State quarterback transfer Cam Ward. However, Uiagalelei also has the dual-threat ability, a strong arm, and the prototypical size that you want in your signal caller (6'4", 252 pounds). While I know that his time at Clemson will be held against him, he performed well commanding the offense at Oregon State last season where he had 27 total touchdowns and only seven interceptions.

Overall, I believe that the Seminoles lead for Uiagalelei while Miami leads for Ward. I think it is in Florida State's best interest to get this pickup done as quickly as possible.
