The bad news from week zero was that FSU football lost as a double-digit favorite against Georgia Tech. The good news? One of Florida and Miami will join them in the loss column in week one when they face another on a rare occasion. The two teams have only played twice in the last decade. Miami won the 2013 game, and Florida took the 2019 matchup. The two teams will play this year in Gainesville and 2025 in Miami. Florida State plays both teams annually, providing the right to claim the State Championship each year, which they've won the past two seasons. It's a game FSU fans have been looking forward to since the offseason, as both teams have been talking a lot of trash as they look to close the gap FSU has created over the past couple of seasons. FSU has beaten Miami in three straight seasons and Florida in the last two. They'll be watching since the game is so early in the season, particularly Miami since they come into the season with more hype(what else is new) and slight betting favorites on the road. FSU doesn't play Miami until October 26 and Florida on November 30 in the regular-season finale. FSU football fans hope both teams lose on Saturday afternoon:

Florida returns a lot of continuity compared to Miami, which has new players such as quarterback, running back, wide receiver, and some new pieces on the defensive side. Teams with better continuity have fared better in the first couple of weeks and I wouldn't be surprised to see the home team pull off the slight upset to end the Miami hype train early. The game starts at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
