FSU football: Mock recruiting class before Early Signing Period
DEFENSIVE MOCK CLASS
Florida State has a ton of talent on the defensive side of the football in this recruiting class, especially in the defensive backfield with five-star safety KJ Bolden, five-star cornerback Charles Lester III, four-star cornerback Jamari Howard, four-star cornerback Cai Bates, and four-star cornerback Ricky Knight III.
However, the Seminoles would like to add more pieces to their front seven. Florida State has three capable defensive linemen committed in the fold. Unfortunately, five-star defensive lineman commit Armondo Blount from Miami (FL) canceled his official visit with the Seminoles this past weekend and elected to visit the Miami Hurricanes instead. That, of course, gives fans the impression that he will be flipping his commitment to the Hurricanes.
While it is a bummer for the coaching staff to potentially miss out on Blount, the Seminoles were able to bring in four-star defensive end Amaree Williams from the Benjamin School in North Palm Beach (FL) this past weekend.
Florida State will lose a ton of pivotal pieces on the defensive unit after the 2023 season. As a result, the Seminoles will have to replenish the talent on the roster. What better way to do so than to acquire highly-touted prospects on the recruiting trail?
