THE OFFENSIVE LINE STRUGGLES

It was announced in the preseason that Florida State offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Alex Atkins was suspended for the first three games of the 2024 season due to a recruiting violation.

Originally, we thought that the absence would not have been a big deal with assistant coach Gabe Fertitta helping out in the meantime. However, the offense has been abysmal at times where they struggle to move the football.

The offensive line has allowed a ton of pressure from opposing defensive lines. This is partly due to the inconsistencies of the play of quarterback DJ Uiagalelei as well as their ability to run the football against a stacked box.

This is a position unit on the offensive line that has several veterans such as Darius Washington, Maurice Smith, Robert Scott Jr., Keiondre Jones, Bryston Estes, Jacob Rizy, and TJ Ferguson (among others).

I believe that these veterans will get back on the right track soon.
