RUSHING ATTACK MISSING

Florida State football came into the 2024 season where they thought their strength was going to be running the football. However, it should be worrisome that the Seminoles lost ultra-talented back Trey Benson, who was selected by the Arizona Cardinals in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Benson was a home-run hitter for Florida State over the past two seasons in Tallahassee. The Seminoles added Alabama's Roydell Williams and Indiana's Jaylin Lucas via the transfer portal and they also added four-star prospects Kameron Davis and Micahi Danzy via the recruiting ranks this offseason.

Florida State has not been good for the past two games where they had 31 carries for 98 yards (3.2 yards per attempt) versus Georgia Tech and 16 carries for 21 yards (1.3 yards per attempt) versus Boston College.

It seemed like Coach Norvell tried to force the run versus the Yellow Jackets and then tried to throw the football downfield and abandon the run versus the Eagles. The coaching staff has to find a happy medium with the running game going forward.

I think the Seminoles will bounce back in a huge way going forward to settle the offense.
