DT KJ SAMPSON

Florida State came into the season where they had high expectations for the dynamic defensive tackle duo of Joshua Farmer and Darrell Jackson Jr. Both of them played at Gadsen County High School together and are close friends.

However, it has not been the campaign that both of them have wanted to see as the Seminoles have struggled to stop the run. It seems like the defense as a whole is struggling to establish the line of scrimmage.

Legendary assistant coach Odell Haggins comes into the 2024 season where he is having to replace the likes of Braden Fiske, Fabien Lovett Sr., and Malcolm Ray. All of them were pivotal members of the Seminoles' football team.

I am a huge fan of Farmer and Jackson Jr. and their skill sets. However, I realize that defensive tackles cannot play every snap. Redshirt sophomore Daniel Lyons has showcased flashes where you can see potential in his game. You even saw plays where Colorado State transfer Grady Kelly was featured.

However, one player that I think you will start seeing more of is KJ Sampson. The former four-star prospect has suddenly become a forgotten piece. Head football coach Mike Norvell raved about Sampson's development and what he can bring to the table in 2024. I think if Sampson is given the opportunity, he could be a difference-maker.
