FSU football: 5 MAJOR reasons Mike Norvell should remain at FSU

FSU football fans have been in a frenzy over the past 24 hours since Nick Saban announced his retirement, and Mike Norvell's name has been linked to the opening at Alabama. It's nothing new for FSU fans to go through the cycle of emotions after the PTSD of recent negative events. The saga of Jimbo Fisher flirting with LSU multiple years before quitting and bolting to Texas A&M doesn't help. The College Football Playoff Committee snub last month doesn't help, nor does the perception of the ACC among the major conferences left.


Alabama is arguably the top college football program among the blue bloods if you're peering at things from a surface level. However, when you begin to peel the layers back, some red flags would give me pause if I were Mike Norvell and Alabama had an interest in hiring me away from FSU. Listen, I'm going to lay out a few things that should hold a lot of weight, but ultimately, money and other factors can outweigh those things, depending on the circumstances. Here are six major reasons to consider and why I believe Mike Norvell will remain as the head coach at FSU football.
