FSU Fast Tracked Freshmen WR Last Year With Loaded Unit

FSU had proven commodities last year, with Johnny Wilson and Keon Coleman going into the 2023 season. They also had Ja'Khi Douglas, Kentron Poitier, Darion Willamson, Winston Wright, Jaheim Bell, and Deuce Spann as potential targets. Not to mention, they also had talented freshmen Hykeem Williams and Destyn Hill. The latter two made it on the field as freshmen because they found opportunities. Hykeem Williams wasn't a polished receiver out of high school and wasn't in shape when he enrolled in the spring. Destyn Hill didn't play football for over two years before arriving at FSU last summer.

Both guys were on the field early for FSU and had not both gotten injured, they probably would have made a noticeable impact. Douglas, Poitier, and Williamson were hurt most of the year. Another freshman, Vandrevius Jacobs, would have had more opportunities if he could get himself together. The point is, that McCoy is more polished than Williams, out of high school and enrolled in the spring, unlike Hill. FSU doesn't have many proven options outside Ja'Khi Douglas and maybe Kyle Morlock at tight end. If FSU got Williams and Hill on the field early in the season, I can't see why McCoy won't get those chances. If he can stay healthy, I think he has a chance to give FSU 20+ receptions, which would be the most since Malik McClain with 16 in 2021.
