The scrimmage wasn't open to the public, but it sounds like the quarterbacks made good decisions, with the wide receivers missing the consistency Mike Norvell was looking for. DJ Uiaglalei led a 20-play touchdown scoring drive that went the length of the field. Luke Kromenhoek looked "in control" during the scrimmage, which is good to hear from the freshman. I highlighted Lawayne McCoy as a freshman receiver I expect to be a contributor this season, but freshman Elijah Moore was someone Mike Norvell mentioned by name in his press conference.

It sounds like he made several impressive catches. Running back Sam Singleton was someone Adam Fuller mentioned, breaking several tackles, running hard, and scoring a touchdown. Most of the first-team offensive linemen didn't play much, which is promising depth-wise, and the fact the offense had opportunities for big play and lacked the execution. I was hoping to hear more positives from the receivers unit, especially from guys like Darion Williamson and Kentron Poitier. They are veterans, but not necessarily guys penciled in as starters at this point.
