Florida State football was defeated by the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets by a score of 24-21 in their season opener in Dublin, Ireland. Trust me, it still feels weird to say that as the Seminoles had high expectations going into the season.

Florida State finished the 2023 campaign with an undefeated regular season and a conference championship. The squad in 2024 was picked to win the conference this year by the betting experts.

However, the Seminoles had to do a ton of work to replace many veteran leaders on the defensive side of the football such as defensive end Jared Verse, defensive tackles Braden Fiske and Fabien Lovett Sr., linebackers Kalen DeLoach and Tatum Bethune, and defensive backs Renardo Green, Jarrian Jones, and Akeem Dent.

The defense had a couple of pivotal pieces returning this season, but who would emerge as the impact players? Unfortunately, the defense looked confused at times against Georgia Tech. As a result, I wanted to highlight three easy ways to improve the defense next week against Boston College.
