FSU baseball: Noles among top three teams with best odds to win National Title

The No. 8 overall seed FSU baseball team was rightfully among the top 10 teams with the best odds to win the 2024 National Title before regional play. If you had bet the Noles before the Tallahassee Regional, you could have gotten FSU at +1800 odds. That means if you had bet $100, you would win $1,800 if the Noles won the title. However, those odds have gotten substantially smaller since FSU won their regional and will matchup against the UConn Huskies in the Super Regional. UConn was the No. 3 seed in the Oklahoma regional, and beat the No. 9 overall seed Sooners twice for a chance to face the Noles in Tallahassee. FSU baseball has +550 odds to win the National Title. Tennessee (+300) and Texas A&M (+310) are the only two teams with better odds. Now if you bet $100 on the Noles, you'd win $550.

They will be the odds on favorite to beat UConn in their Super Regional, which means those odds will likely become even less of a long shot. The Noles will begin Super Regional play on Friday, June 7th, at noon. If they beat UConn they will face the winner of No. 1 overall seed Tennessee and Evansville. Evansville defeated the No. 16 overall seed ECU Pirates to reach the Tennessee Super Regional. The ACC has five of the 16 teams remaining in the Super Regionals. FSU will potentially have to play either North Carolina or Virginia to reach the College World Series Finals. NC State and Clemson remain on the other side of the NCAA bracket. The key to FSU's success will be its starting pitching and its offense. The starting pitching was outstanding in the regional, but the offense wasn't hitting on all cylinders. If they can get both going at the same time, they'll be a tough out for anyone.
